Aim of the course

The aim of the course is to provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in performing organizational change. Through usage of simulation game students engage in the change management project and manage through, experiencing problem, pitfalls and consequences of the change management.

Description of the course

The learning organization, systems thinking, team learning, shared visions, mental models, Doppler resistance theory, Rogers innovation adopter types theory, hard change management process theory (AS-IS, TO-BE, implementation). Change management theories: Levin, Lippitt et al., Sievers, Kotter, Becker and Langosch, Dalin, Rolff and Buchen, Pieper and Schley, Glazinski.

Basic of origination behavior and team building.

Methods of teaching

Introductory lecture, reading, simulation game SysTeamsChange, case-study, group discussion, reflection, written essay
